Thank you to everyone who joined in this week’s session, which was reduced due to the Bank Holiday but we still ran 5-a-side for the Over 30 Men at 8pm and for the men again two games of 6-a-side at 9pm. Thank you to everyone who signed up for the Ladies game, which was quickly fully booked but unfortunately went on to be cancelled due to a number of players withdrawing and leaving us with not enough players. It was a similar circumstances with the men’s games so hopefully this was just because the of the bank holiday and things will return to normal next week.

We are delighted to have been awarded a grant from the Barclays Community Football Fund, being delivered in parnership with Sported. This grant will help us commit to providing weekly football sessions to Ladies living in and around Dacorum as part of our Community Kickabout initiative. In August 2022, after running popular Men’s Over 30’s Football games for two years, we trialled two Ladies only sessions (with no age restrictions) at Hemel Hempstead Town FC. We had a fantastic response and organised another two in September that were competed with a lot enthusiasm, hence our approach to Barclays and Sported to apply for funding towards securing a long term booking of Hemel FC’s 5G pitch.
