We’re very grateful to have received funding from the Hertfordshire FA aimed at supporting clubs in growing participation. The Hertfordshire FA strives to support local clubs and secured dedicated funding aimed at helping clubs to ‘Sustain, Revive and Thrive’ – alongside support from the FA’s Football Development team this will help clubs and initiatives like ours build towards a positive future. “Turn up and play” Adult recreation sessions like ours are amongst the types of initiatives the FA is supporting to Revive, with funding is aimed at projects that either support people coming back to the game who have stopped playing, or that are creating new opportunities for people to play for the first time.

We’re going to use our funding to secure the long term booking of a third pitch on Monday nights; after a successful start to the new year we’ve outgrown the usual two pitches and have been using a third pitch subject to availability at Hemel Hempstead Town FC, but now we can commit to advance booking of all three pitches, ensuring that more people can participate in our popular Over 30’s football sessions.
