Thanks to everyone who participated in this week’s Community Kickabout; apologies to those of you who joined the standby list and didn’t get an opportunity to play – a couple of people filled in for late withdrawals but we couldn’t accommodate any more. Booking is now live for next week’s Kickabout, on Monday 13th September 2021.
We’re going to be unable to consider booking a second pitch for a couple of months, while a 5-a-side league is running on the other pitches. This league also means it’s very busy at Hemel FC and parking will be difficult whilst the league is running… so please plan ahead in regards to getting to the club and parked in good time for our session.
We’ve temporarily suspended new Block Bookings due to reaching a number of participants where it’s become impractical to ensure everyone can play (this will not affect people who need to renew a current block booking). An unfortunate effect of the success of the initiative is that we’ve so many people block booked now, that only a few spaces are left each week to casual bookings, which defeats the easy/inclusive participation we’re trying to achieve. We’re very keen to run a second pitch but we’re currently unable to consider running two sessions side-by-side until at least late October, due to the Vauxhall Road hosting a 5-a-side league on the other pitches. Once we can reconsider booking a second pitch, we’ll reopen the block booking form, but you can add yourself to a waiting list in the meantime: www.communitykickabout.org/block-bookings/
