Please note two important updates regarding booking on to our Monday night football sessions, which include a reduction in fees and suspension of new block bookings:
From next week (the Monday 30th August 2021 session), fees will drop to £5 a session. If you recently paid full price for a block booking (not inc anyone who used a discount code) then I’ll be in touch about adding sessions to the end of your current block booking to make up for the extra fees you’ve paid.
We’ve temporarily suspended new Block Bookings due to reaching a number of participants where it’s become impractical to ensure everyone can play (this will not affect people who need to renew a current block booking). An unfortunate effect of the success of the initiative is that we’ve so many people block booked now, that only a few spaces are left each week to casual bookings, which defeats the easy/inclusive participation we’re trying to achieve. We’re very keen to run a second pitch but we’re currently unable to consider running two sessions side-by-side until at least late October, due to the Vauxhall Road hosting a 5-a-side league on the other pitches. Once we can reconsider booking a second pitch, we’ll reopen the block booking form, but you can add yourself to a waiting list in the meantime: www.communitykickabout.org/block-bookings/
We may even consider alternative days and/or other local venues if it becomes more practical than waiting for another Vauxhall Road pitch to become available; this will depend on interest (and also will rely on other people wanting to get involved in helping to run sessions). Again, you can opt in an interest for this on the aforementioned waiting list form.
