Hemel FC have directed that from January 2025, only moulded studs or moulded blades (AG Articial Grass blades, not FG Firm Ground blades) will be allowed on the main pitch.
This goes not affect the caged pitches, where Astro boots will still be allowed. Screw in studs/blades, metal tipped studs and flat soled trainers remain unacceptable on all pitches.
This change will affect our Monday and Wednesday 9pm games, albeit for Wednesday’s this will be simpler for us to manage – no-one can play Weds without moulded studs/blades.
For Monday’s, where we rotate players between the main pitch and the cage, it would be ideal if everyone wears moulded boots, but if you’ve only got Astros then you’ll only be allowed to play in the cage. We’ll send out reminders to Monday participants for the first few Monday sessions of 2025 and if you intend to play in Astro boots, please let us know so we can plan ahead with allocating players to pitches.
